Precision longevity medicine

Still going strong at 90 starts with knowing your biology.

Most medicine is built for the average patient. Bioscope uses clinical AI to help your doctor see what makes your biology unique, considering your whole genome, records, labs and wearables together. So the plan you and your doctor build is aimed at decades, not just your next visit.

How it works

  1. 01

    Get started with your doctor

Your doctor orders your Bioscope genome kit. If you have records from other doctors or specialists, share them with your practice so they become part of your record.

  2. 02

    A quick cheek swab

Your genome kit has two cheek swabs, one for each cheek, and a prepaid envelope. Swab, seal and mail.

  3. 03

    Sequenced and interpreted

A partner lab sequences your whole genome. Bioscope interprets it alongside your records, labs and wearable data.

  4. 04

    Your doctor reviews

About 4–6 weeks after the lab receives your sample, your doctor reviews your results.

  5. 05

    You build your plan together

Your doctor walks you through your results and shares your reports and plan in your Companion portal.

Your doctor decides.

Bioscope flags areas for your doctor to explore with you. It doesn’t diagnose, and your results and plan come to you from your doctor.

Private by design.

Encrypted, protected under HIPAA and held by your practice. You keep all your rights as a patient.

Frequently asked questions

About Bioscope

What is Bioscope?

Bioscope is a precision longevity platform your doctor uses to see what makes your biology unique. It brings your whole genome together with your health records, labs, imaging, microbiome and wearable data, and uses clinical AI to look at all of it together. Your doctor reviews what it finds and builds your plan with you.

Why is my doctor using Bioscope?

Your doctor wants to see as much of your biology as possible. Bioscope extends how far your doctor’s judgment can reach, across your whole genome and years of records, so the plan you build together is built around you.

Does Bioscope replace my doctor?

No. Bioscope flags areas for your doctor to explore with you. It doesn’t diagnose or make decisions about your care. Your doctor reviews your results and builds your plan with you.

How is this different from the AI I use at home?

Everyday AI gives general answers drawn from all over the internet, including forums and influencer content. Bioscope is clinical AI. It works from your own genome and health record, draws on current medical research, and shows the sources behind what it flags. And your doctor reviews all of it.

Can I use Bioscope on my own?

Bioscope is available only through participating practices, so your doctor is always part of it. Your doctor shares your reports and plan with you through your Companion portal. A mobile app is in development that will let you use parts of Bioscope on your own.

Your genome

What is a whole genome?

Your genome is the complete set of instructions your body was built from. It’s written in about 3 billion letters, and you have two copies, one from each parent. The small differences between your copies, and between you and everyone else, are what make you unique. Whole genome sequencing reads all of it, not just a sample.

How is this different from consumer DNA tests?

Most consumer DNA tests check a small, preselected set of spots in your DNA. It’s like a high-definition photo with most of the pixels thrown away. Whole genome sequencing reads all 3 billion letters, so your doctor sees the full picture. And instead of a report you read on your own, your results go to your doctor, who walks you through what they mean for your care.

What can my genome tell my doctor?

Your genome gives your doctor a deeper look at how your body is built. It can show how you process certain medications, which traits you inherited, and where your doctor may want to pay closer attention over the years. It can even fill in gaps when your family history is incomplete. It’s one important piece of the picture, considered alongside your records, labs and lifestyle.

Will my results scare me?

The goal isn't to worry you. It's to build a plan around what makes you unique. Your doctor reviews your results first and walks you through them, so you're never reading them alone.

Do I ever need to redo it?

No. Your genome stays essentially the same throughout your life, so it's sequenced once and stays useful for decades. Your labs, microbiome and wearables can be retested over time to see what's working.

The process

How does the cheek swab work?

Your genome kit has two cheek swabs, one for each cheek, and a prepaid envelope. It’s done in under 5 minutes, and you don’t need any medical help to do it. Just follow the instructions in the kit, seal it and mail it.

How long until I get results?

About 4–6 weeks from when the lab receives your sample. Your doctor reviews your results first, then goes through them with you.

Who sequences my genome?

A partner lab sequences your genome. Bioscope interprets it for your doctor.

I also got a microbiome kit. What's the difference?

Your microbiome is the community of bacteria living in your gut, and it plays a role in digestion, energy and more. Unlike your genome, it changes over time, so it can be retested to see what’s working. The microbiome test uses a small stool sample and comes in its own kit, separate from your cheek swab genome kit. Use each kit as labeled so each sample goes to the right lab. Results come back in about 2–4 weeks. Ask your practice whether a microbiome test is part of your plan.

Can I add records from other doctors?

Yes. Lab results, imaging and specialist reports from other doctors can all be added. So can reports from functional and specialty tests you’ve already done, including epigenetic tests. If you wear an Oura ring or Whoop, that data can be connected too. Ask your practice how to send your records or connect your device.

Can I connect my wearable?

Bioscope connects with Oura and Whoop today, with more wearables in development. Ask your practice how to send your records or connect your device.

Where do I see my results?

After your doctor walks you through your results, your reports and plan are shared in your Companion portal. You can view and download them anytime, and they're there to look back on as your plan evolves.

Privacy

Is my information private and secure?

Yes. Your information is encrypted, protected under HIPAA and held by your practice. Your doctor and their care team use it to care for you, and you keep all your rights as a patient.

Can I have my data deleted?

Your records are held by your practice, and you keep all your rights as a patient, including rights to your records. To ask about deleting your data, contact your practice. They can walk you through your options.

Could my genetic information affect my insurance?

In the US, a federal law called GINA protects you from genetic discrimination in health insurance and employment. GINA doesn’t cover life, disability or long-term care insurance, though some states offer additional protections. If that’s a concern, talk with your doctor before testing.
